“Tosa Cares” is a nonprofit food pantry organized and operating in Wauwatosa by a group of volunteers from the community. Their mission is to work to serve our community by providing food and assistance to families in need. It is operated solely by volunteers who collect and distribute non-perishable food, personal care items, and clothing seven times a year.

“Best Buddies” is a nonprofit that offers One-to-One Friendship and Leadership Development programs – positively impacting nearly 31,920 individuals with and without disabilities in Wisconsin. Their programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society. This is their 30th year of operation helping people with IDD.

Hope Center is a non-profit organization that has been serving the basic needs of financial assistance, food, and clothing in Waukesha County for more than thirty years. The mission of Hope Center in Waukesha is reducing the risks of poverty by helping people in Waukesha County meet basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing through services, partnerships and community collaboration.

Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library recognize the value of our great library and celebrate all it has to offer. Friends' membership dollars provide financial support to keep the library’s outstanding collections, resources and programs free and accessible for all.

The Friends of MPL operates the Bookseller Used Book Store and book sales, provides free historic tours of beautiful Central Library, and sponsors programs such as the Spring Literary Luncheon, the Milwaukee Poet Laureate, and the Wisconsin Writers Wall of Fame, as well as other literary events and author visits.

Serenity Inns is a local charity whose mission is to elp men who choose recovery over their addiction with drugs and alcohol. They help give men the opportunity to have a fresh start in life. They provide the only recovery facility in Milwaukee that doesn’t require insurance or ability to pay. Their three-phase transitional program helps men build the foundation they need in order to be re-introduced to society.

With the help of over 200 volunteers, the shelter cares for approximately 2,000 animals annually and is able to offer valuable educational programs onsite to the community.

The Elmbrook Education Foundation's objective is supporting the District's value on continuing education by rewarding the outstanding achievements of select graduating seniors.

One family at a time.

Acts Housing makes it possible for families with barriers (credit, savings, financial, language, etc.) to become homeowners. We provide home buyer and financial counseling, real estate brokerage, and rehab expertise.

Through Acts Lending, we offer purchase and rehab loans for families who have been locked out of the traditional mortgage market and are purchasing distressed homes.
